Auto-fill a power of attorney in Word

Keep the power of attorney template your office already uses. Upload it with the materials you have, and the details are entered for you, with the formatting untouched.

What a power of attorney involves

A power of attorney authorizes one person (the agent) to act for another (the principal): sign, collect, represent, or manage specific matters. Law offices and notaries produce them constantly, usually from a house template whose wording is settled and only the people and the scope change.

The filling is the tedious part: full names, ID numbers and addresses must be copied exactly from identity documents, and a single transposed digit can invalidate the authorization.

The data that gets filled in

  • Principal: full name, address, ID or passport number
  • Agent: full name, address, ID or passport number
  • Scope of the authorization
  • Date and place of signing
  • Validity period or expiry date

The values usually arrive in:

  • Photos or scans of both ID cards or passports
  • The instruction email or note describing the scope
  • A previous power of attorney for the same client

How to fill a power of attorney with Run Done

  • Upload your power of attorney template. The Word document your office already uses, opened without changing how it looks.
  • Add the materials. Photos, scans, PDFs or text with the details in them.
  • The data is entered for you. Each value lands in the right place; fonts, headers and layout stay unchanged. Anything that cannot be found stays empty rather than guessed.
  • Review and download. Confirm or correct every value, then download the finished Word file. Save the document to fill the next one with one click, or do it inside Word itself with the Word add-in.
Run Done fills your existing document; it does not draft or interpret legal content, and nothing is final until you approve it.

Common questions

Does Run Done change the legal wording of my power of attorney?

No. It fills your existing template and never rewrites, interprets or drafts legal text. The wording stays exactly as your office settled it.

Can it read the ID numbers from a phone photo of an ID card?

Yes. Photos and scans of identity documents are read directly, and every value it enters is shown for your review before you download. If a value cannot be found, the field stays empty.
