Auto-fill in Word
Auto-fill an invoice in Word
Keep the invoice template your office already uses. Upload it with the materials you have, and the details are entered for you, with the formatting untouched.
What an invoice involves
An invoice bills a client for delivered work or goods: who owes, for what, how much and by when. Small offices that invoice from a Word template retype the client's legal name, tax ID and the line amounts every time.
The values usually already exist somewhere: in the purchase order, the signed contract, the delivery note or a quick message from a colleague. The invoice is just those values arranged into your layout.
The data that gets filled in
- Client: legal name, address, tax or VAT number
- Invoice number and issue date
- Description of goods or services
- Amounts, tax and total
- Payment deadline and bank account
The values usually arrive in:
- The purchase order or the signed contract
- The delivery note or work log
- An email or message with the agreed amounts
How to fill an invoice with Run Done
- Upload your invoice template. The Word document your office already uses, opened without changing how it looks.
- Add the materials. Photos, scans, PDFs or text with the details in them.
- The data is entered for you. Each value lands in the right place; fonts, headers and layout stay unchanged. Anything that cannot be found stays empty rather than guessed.
- Review and download. Confirm or correct every value, then download the finished Word file. Save the document to fill the next one with one click, or do it inside Word itself with the Word add-in.
Common questions
Does it calculate the VAT and the total for me?
No. Values are transferred from your materials as they appear, nothing is computed or invented. If a total is not in your sources, the field stays empty and you enter it during review.
Can it pull the client's tax number from a scan of their registration document?
Yes. Scans and photos of company documents are read directly, and the number is entered exactly as printed for you to confirm.
